Safety

The Ben Carlson Foundation is providing a safety team for all ocean swimmers. It required that all participants sign our waiver. All participants must be over the age of 14. Those under the age of 18, must have a guardian sign the waiver.

Swim or Walk: We will be starting the swim at 34th Street in Newport Beach. We will be swimming to the Newport Pier and back.

Swim Details

Check-In is required. You will receive a number on your arm, a shirt, and a cap.
Time limit: 1 hour and 30 minutes
- If you cannot complete this swim time, we politely ask you to join our walking group
Walking group will be lead by our volunteers
Things to bring: suit, goggles, fins, towel, and beach chairs
Patrick always wore a speedo no matter the water temp or weather… feel free to join the club!

Parking

We ask that you park on the public street, ride bikes, or Uber. It is summer and we foresee difficulties parking many cars. We recommend carpooling!

Info: Join us in honoring Patrick’s life and raising awareness and support for NUT Carcinoma by swimming or walking from 34th street to the Newport Pier and back. Options: Swim (fins recommended for non-swimmers) or paddle Walk (if you cannot complete in time limit) Registration: Check in is mandatory at the beach. Please sign up online ___$ amount to register. Registration includes a cap and shirt. This amount is the minimum to be donated to the foundation, feel free to add amount on top.
